Be Healthy, Be Happy.

Welcome to my weightloss blog. My name is Jenna and I am 19 years old. This is a personal blog for me to be able to keep track of how much weight I've lost, and to inspire others to join this journey with me. I will post recipes, my daily calorie intake and what I've eaten, and how much I've lost per week. Please check out my goals and weigh-ins to see how much I've lost and my future goals. I have set some rules for myself, and will be adding more as I go along. I would appreciate all of the support I could get from others, so if you have any tips or advice or words of motivation, please feel free to put them in my ask box. Thank you so much!

Anonymous asked: What are YOUR thoughts on veganism?

Honestly, it’s bad for my health. I mean, yes it may be better for me to become vegan, but I follow the eat right for your blood type diet, and it actually says that I should eat red meat on a regular basis 3 -4 times a week. NOw, I don’t eat it that much, I love chicken, turkey, things like that, but I just love meat and other things too much to become vegan, but I think it works for some people :)

Anonymous asked: Jenna, I know everyone has told you this but don't quit your diet you have made amazing progress to your goal :) I don't know if Ontario, but I do group excerises at the YMCA, (I only do spinning really), but Spinning is a great workout and fun and motovating! I just joined two weeks ago, and I am seeing a major difference in my body. I know excerising by yourself can not be fun sometimes, but try a group one it might be more motovating :) hope this helps sorry.

OKay, thank you so much, I’m not going to quit, this week I’m back on my diet for good!

Anonymous asked: i'm not trying to be rude, but one reason for weight gain could possibly be alcohol consumption

Oh I know..alcohol is really bad. But I’m going back on my diet next week for good..and as a college student, hopefully I’ll be able to cook better for one, than I ever have before. I also found a new recipe book and will follow it religiously!! It’s called cooking for one or two, or something like that. It’s approved for diabetics, and it lists all of the calories and everything, and uses reduced salt products, and things like that. I’m so excited to try! :)

Anonymous asked: have you heard of fuckyeahchubbyfashion(dot)tumblr(dot)com ?
it has given me so much inspiration and i thought you would like to see it too :)

yes I have, I have actually submitted there a couple of times :)

speakingwordsof asked: College made me a healthier person too! There were more options in the cafeteria, so I could always have a salad, or veggies, or soup, or whatever the best option was :). And to help keep myself on track, I made a one plate rule, where I'd only allow myself to have one plate (unless the plate was covered in only veggies), and also a dessert rule. I'd reward myself once a week with dessert. It made it worth it and more tasty! Like others have said, it's easy to go to the gym, walk to class, and find lots of opportunities to exercise!

Okay, thank you! I will be walking to school everyday, so that’ll count for something!

jetaimetoujours asked: You don't have to quit your diet! Especially since you're going to college. Believe it or not, college has made me exercise so much more and become healthier. It's easier because the schedule isn't like a high school schedule so you can go to the gym during the day or in the evening and you can work out. Plus there are plenty of healthy snacks and meals provided by schools so it actually helps. you don't have to give up! Like the title of your blog says, be healthy, be happy! You will be so proud of yourself if you keep working and keep inspiring others! Good luck :)

OKay, thank you love! I will push forward the best that I can :)

Anonymous asked: don't give up on your diet, you've gotten so far to just give it all up. we're all here for you, you can do it <3

Thank you. I’ll try my best!

Anonymous asked: Jenna, you CANNOT give up. You have to be strong. Go back and look at your first posts, how motivated you were. I know this is difficult, but imagine how you'll feel at the end when you look in the mirror and see what all your motivation and progress got you. There will be rough patches, there always is. Just take a step back, and look around. You can do this.

Thank you!!!!!

runningroundmyhead asked: If you're going to quit your diet....quit your diet and start a lifestyle change. You've made it so far it would be a waste to give up on yourself. Don't eat obsessively healthy but something realistic that you can maintain. In the short-term you might not see results but in the longterm it will help keep your weight down. In college it can be tough to eat healthy but remember portion control and don't forget about fruit and veggies and you'll be good to go!

Thank you so much! <3

Anonymous asked: Dont quit your diet Jenna, i know its hard now and its so tempting to just eat but the results in the end are much more rewarding than giving up. you are the inspiration that got me started on a diet, dont stop now i know you can do it. your journey isnt over yet, you cant stop it now.

=/ I can’t think of anything else. My parents aren’t on a diet, so it’s soo hard to maintain one. And I’m going to college. I want lose weight, but I guess now just isn’t a good time.

ihatethelettuce asked: don't give up! you are doing so well!

I dont know what else to do though! I keep gaining every week, every day, every minute, and I don’t know how to help myself.

I think I’m going to quit my diet.

I don’t know what else to do.

I can’t be motivated to exercise, and I just want to eat and eat.

Ugh. :(

Anonymous asked: You're looking beautiful as always! If you don't mind me saying your hair and skin look a lot healthier as well have you realized? <3

Yeah, I have noticed. I don’t have as much breakouts as I used to. :) Thank you!

lloxodonta asked: Looking good! :)

Thank you :D
